The Save Texas History Symposium, From San Fernando de Bexar to “The Alamo City:” San Antonio and its History will take place at the historic Menger Hotel. Presented by the Texas General Land Office, the symposium provides a unique opportunity for historians to share their research with the public.
- Hear from some of the premier scholars in Texas history who deliver cutting-edge research on topics as varied as Tejana property ownership in the 18th century, the military importance of the Alamo, the fight to preserve San Antonio’s missions, the Alamo in 19th-century art, and the local yellow fever outbreaks of the early 20th century.
